What trades in metals & minerals

Metals trade runs on specification. A buyer of TMT bars needs the grade and standard, bar sizes, bundle weights and mill test certificates. A copper buyer needs purity, brand or registration, and shape.

TP4 helps turn those details into a requirement a supplier can quote against, then connects the inspection, finance and shipping steps that follow.

Metals & Minerals: questions buyers ask

Can TP4 source to a specific standard such as IS, ASTM or EN?

Yes. Share the standard and grade, and TP4 approaches suppliers who produce to it. Mill test certificates confirm compliance for each lot.

Are metal prices fixed or linked to an exchange?

Both are common. Copper, aluminium and zinc are often priced as a benchmark plus premium; steel is usually fixed per tonne. The price basis is agreed before the contract.

Which documents come with a metals shipment?

Typically a commercial invoice, packing list, mill test certificate, certificate of origin and bill of lading, plus an inspection certificate if agreed.

Is there a minimum quantity?

It depends on product and supplier. Container-load quantities are common for export. Tell TP4 your volume and it will say what is workable.

Request metals & minerals

Share the product, specification, quantity and destination. TP4 reviews every request.
