For buyers

Buy better.
Source smarter.

If you know what you need, TP4 helps turn that requirement into a structured trade request and work toward the right supply connection.

  • Product sourcing
  • Supplier matching
  • Finance & logistics connected

From vague to quotable

A requirement suppliers can actually quote.

The single biggest difference to price, speed and disputes is the first message. Watch a typical request become one that gets comparable offers.

Read the guide to writing a requirement

What most first requests look like

“We need steel. Send your best price.”

  • No grade
  • No size
  • No quantity
  • No destination
  • No delivery term

Suppliers either guess or ask ten questions. Quotes arrive late and cannot be compared.

What TP4 does for buyers

Four jobs, done in order.

Sourcing, matching, comparison and coordination. Each one removes a reason a good purchase goes wrong.

01 Sourcing

Find where the product is really made.

TP4 looks at which countries and producers supply the grade you need, and what is realistic on volume, lead time and price basis.

  • Origin options by grade and standard
  • Typical lead times and minimum orders
  • Market notes from the country guides

02 Matching

Suppliers matched on more than a product name.

Producers, mills and traders are considered against your specification, capacity needs and destination. Business information is reviewed as appropriate before introductions.

  • Grade and standard fit
  • Monthly capacity against your volume
  • Loading port and route to you

ComparisonLike-for-like offers

03 Comparison

Offers you can put side by side.

Every supplier quotes the same specification, quantity and delivery term, so the comparison is about price and reliability, not about guessing what was included.

  • Same Incoterm for every offer
  • Inclusions and exclusions stated
  • Validity dates kept in view

From agreed terms to goods on your site.

Inspection, documents, freight and port handling are coordinated in one place, with finance introductions for eligible trades.

  • Documents checked against the contract
  • Freight and delivery coordinated
How logistics works

The buyer journey · 6 steps

From first search to delivery.

Six steps, in the same order every time. Keep scrolling to walk through them.

  1. Stage 01: Search

    Find the product or category.

Search the directory or open a category. Product pages show grades, standards and what a complete requirement includes.

  2. Stage 02: Requirement

    Send a structured request.

Product, specification, quantity, destination, delivery term and timing. The more complete it is, the more comparable the quotes.

  3. Stage 03: Review

    TP4 reviews the requirement.

If something is missing or unrealistic, TP4 says so before any supplier is approached.

  4. Stage 04: Matching

    Suppliers that fit are approached.

Matched on grade, capacity, origin and commercial fit, not just on the product name.

  5. Stage 05: Offers & terms

    Compare like with like.

Offers against the same specification and delivery term, then terms, inspection and documents set out in writing.

  6. Stage 06: Finance & shipping

    Connected where needed.

Eligible trades can be introduced to finance partners. Freight, port handling and delivery are coordinated to your site.

What stays true

Four promises TP4 can keep.

No guaranteed prices or delivery dates. Just the way every buying requirement is handled.

  1. 01

    Comparable quotes.

One specification goes to every supplier, so offers can be compared line by line instead of guessed at.

  2. 02

    Suppliers that fit.

Capacity, grade and loading port are checked against your requirement before anyone is introduced.

  3. 03

    Terms in writing.

Price basis, Incoterm, inspection and documents are agreed before money moves.

  4. 04

    Honest answers.

If TP4 cannot help with a requirement, you hear that early, with the reason.

Know what you need?

Send the requirement. TP4 will review it and tell you if and how it can help.
