What holding the middle means

Three things a good intermediary does.

Find the right counterpart, check what can be checked, and keep every party moving on the same terms.

01 Counterparts

The right party on the other side.

TP4 understands the requirement and the product, then identifies and approaches counterparties that fit on grade, capacity, location and commercial terms.

  • Buyers matched to suppliers, and back again
  • Approached on your behalf, not broadcast
  • Your contact details stay private

02 Review

Information checked before terms.

Relevant business and trade information is reviewed as appropriate to the size and type of trade. What was checked is stated; nothing is presented as a guarantee.

  • Company and product information reviewed
  • Documents requested through a secure process
  • Limits of the review stated plainly

03 Coordination

One thread from offer to delivery.

Terms, inspection, documents, finance and freight are coordinated through one relationship, so nobody is waiting on a reply from a party they have never met.

  • Terms and documents kept consistent
  • Finance and logistics partners introduced
  • Communication kept moving until close
How TP4 works

An engagement · 6 stages

How a brokered trade runs.

From the first conversation to the final document, in the order it happens.

  1. Stage 01: Brief

    Tell TP4 about the trade.

The parties, product, volume and route you have in mind, and what you need TP4 to do.

  2. Stage 02: Role

    Agree TP4’s role in writing.

What TP4 will do, on what commercial basis, before work that depends on it begins.

  3. Stage 03: Counterparts

Find and approach the other side.

Suitable counterparties identified, approached and introduced through TP4.

  4. Stage 04: Review

    Check what can be checked.

Business and trade information reviewed as appropriate to the trade.

  5. Stage 05: Terms

    Align the deal.

Price basis, Incoterm, payment terms, inspection and documents agreed by both sides.

  6. Stage 06: Close

    Coordinate to completion.

Finance, freight and documents coordinated until the goods arrive and the trade closes.

Clear boundaries

What TP4 does, and never does.

An intermediary is only useful if its role is clear. This is ours.

What TP4 does

  • 01Understands the requirement and the product.
  • 02Identifies and approaches suitable counterparties.
  • 03Reviews relevant business and trade information.
  • 04Coordinates terms, documents, finance and logistics.
  • 05Keeps communication moving until the trade closes.

What TP4 never does

  • Guarantee prices, delivery dates or trade completion.
  • Promise finance approval on behalf of a provider.
  • Take part in trades that breach sanctions or trade rules.
  • Ask for passwords, bank logins or upfront fees by message.
